NEWSFLASH: Women are having sex. They’re on the prowl, bumping and grinding, and living their lives. The only issue is that this “version” sex doesn’t exactly fit the antiquated 1980s diagrams we are shown in our 2 class Sex Ed. Special. Sex comes in all shapes, forms, and sizes, yet the education we receive in the classroom is seldom reflective of that reality. Young women are left fending for themselves when it comes to figuring out the intricacies of our bodies. In late night gossip sessions, and hidden google searches we hunt for answers to the questions we are told not to ask. In whispers and hidden trips to the bathroom to take my pill, I told a few close friends I was on birth control. I was young when I started, maybe 7th grade. I took it because it helped keep my cycle under control, before there were times when the cramps were so bad and the flow so heavy I had no choice but stay home from school. Where Art and Music Collide: Meet Maddox

  Meet Maddox, an up and coming young artist who’s art collides with his music in a way that is uniquely his own. After seeing that I had reposted a few of his tracks on Soundcloud, and stumbling across the site, he reached out to see if he could share a little bit of what he’s been doing with you guys. His art and music play off of one another in such a dynamic way, dancing together to create something incredibly unique, all the art featured in this article is his own.
